I keep having this issue when I build hybrid PDF forms to be filled out by hand or electronically.
To fill out the form by hand, it is helpful to draw lines for the user to write on. So in multiple line fields, we may have 5-6 lines so they can write in paragraph form.
To fill out the same area electronically, we would like to have a multi-line form field over the lines, so they can write in paragraph style.
The problem is, the lines do not line up with the text when they type electronically. And I do not see a way to adjust the leading on multi-line form fields.
I know I can design the form with the lines really close together, so the multi-line form field lines up with the "printed" lines. But then the lines are too close together to write in easily for those who want to fill itout by hand.
So I "think" the solution is to (a) figure out how to adjust the leading between lines in a multi-line form field, or (b) create many single line form fields and have them "jump" automatically to the next/previous field when typing in them.
Is one of these a possibility? Of so, how? Or is there another suggestion?
Thanks,
Bob
